Big News!!!

We have some big news in our family; we are having another baby! We were (or should I say I was) a little shocked at first but have now become quite excited! Baby #2 is due to arrive some time around the end of January making Max and the new baby a mere 13 months apart! It will be a busy but fun and exciting household for us. Max is already excited to be a big brother and is sporting his new shirt to celebrate but as you can see it is a little large as I guess stores don't figure "BIG" brothers are as "LITTLE" as him.

Pelican lake

We spent the Canada Day long weekend at Pelican Lake with David's Aunt Lucille and Uncle Claude and their family. We had a very relaxing weekend with a few naps and sleep-ins; it was great. Max got to spend a lot of time with his cousin Marie Claude who is just two months older than him. They enjoyed playing in each other's toys - Max's jumperoo and Marie Claude's exersaucer.

The Beach part II

So we made it through our first camping experience with Max and he did very well. It was very cold at times but we just bundled up and had fun.

White collar?

When I was pregnant David Bert Lilliane and I went to Grand Forks to get what we needed before our baby arrived. Keeping in mind we had no idea what we were going to have, Bert found a cute suit for a baby and he just about bought it. Lucky for him Max arrived and he got to have a visit at his office from Max in his "suit".

The weekend is over.

I told David tonight that even though I'm on maternity leave, I still look forward to the weekend! David was actually home all weekend, no work and no fires thanks to the rain. We held a mildly successful garage sale under the awning of our camper. We made enough money to pay for Max's portraits that I'll be picking up this week. Kelsey spent the weekend with us. She helped out with the garage sale and babysat while David and I went to a social in town. My Auntie Roxanne hosted a shower for Max and me and my cousin Brittany and her little girl Taylor. He got some really neat and special gifts. We finished off the weekend with family photo which David thought was fun but unnecessary!!

The result

Well Max made out just fine with his needles, he was smiling and laughing before we left the clinic. He also got to visit many many people there. Grandma Koo Koo shows him off to everyone. I am also happy to report that we now have a baptismal outfit. Much to Papa's relief it is not a long white gown; it is a very cute navy short and sweater vest outfit. As you can see by the photos Max is a drooler like every other kid out there. He is also very close to being able to sit up (all the way up) by himself

Needles & teeth

Well today is a day I have been dreading for 2 months now; Max is getting his 4 month imunizations today. I know he needs them, but it is so hard to see him in pain. To top that off, I'm sure we're going to see a little white bump in his mouth any day now which has rusulted in a low grade fever the past 3 nights. I think the needle process is harder on me than on Max put I just can't help it!! I'll let you know how the ordeal plays out.

Max's Newest Cousin

Max and I went over to visite Karly and Kade yesterday afternoon. Karly is doing great after her surgery and Kade was being a perfect little baby. It seems like just yesterday that Max was that little. We of course took time for some photos. Enjoy

Welcome

Hello to all our friends and family.

I feel I'm constantly bombarding you all with photos that may or may not bore you. With that in mind I decided to create a blog for you to peruse at your leisure. I'm am quite obviously a first time mom with several hundred photo's of our beautiful baby boy Max so I'm sure the blog will be updated often. We hope you enjoy our new blog.
